Honda entered in the Motorcycle market in India in 2004 with the introduction of Unicorn (now CB Unicorn).
CB Unicorn has been refreshed regularly to meet the diversified needs of customers. With one of the most refined engine in the segment, CB Unicorn has created a very premium image among the mature male customers. CB Unicorn will continue to exist in the segment. The CB Unicorn Dazzler that we have launched today is a step further towards adding more value to the much-admired model.
Living up to the style aspirations of Indian two-wheeler customers, the CB Unicorn Dazzler offers aggressive styling, advanced equipments, blistering performance, impressive mileage of 60 kmpl*, comfort and convenience. The bike has aggressive style with floating side cowl, aggressive front, screenless front cowl, 110/80 wider rear tyre and half-chain case. Other attractive features include: two-tone seat, new design mirror, handle bar weights, 3D emblem, digital meter and front & rear disc brake.
Various advanced equipments have been added in the bike which makes it the best in its segment. Powered with 150cc reformed engine, the bike delivers excellent performance with 14 BHP power. It is equipped with tubeless tyres and alloy wheels and offers best pick-up and mileage combination in the segment. CB Unicorn Dazzler will deliver a mileage of 60 kmpl*. The bike is equipped with maintenance free battery & viscous air filter for more convenience. Strictly adhering to the BS-III norms, it is environment friendly like all other Honda products.
The price for ex showroom Delhi is Rs. 62,900. The CB Unicorn Dazzler will be available to the customers by the end of May, 2010. The bike will be available in four attractive colours – Armour Gold Metallic, Pearl Nightstar Black, Sword Silver Metallic and Pearl Siena Red. Honda entered the Indian motorcycle market with Honda Unicorn gifted with strong engine, rugged looks and pleasing performance. Unicorn offers superior mileage and pick up and has all the features and facilities one could wish for. Unicorn was the first bike in India with mono suspension feature. After doing a twist with its last launch – the 110 cc Twister, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has now dazzled with a new sportier and premium version of its Unicorn, which has been christened CB Unicorn Dazzler.
Honda always had a trump card with the Unicorn which has been its flagship motorcycle in India for long. CB Unicorn Dazzler is a sportier and premium version of the Unicorn and has been launched with a price tag of 63,000 (Ex-Showroom), which is very competitive and reasonable for a stylish 150cc bike.
Design & Styling of Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler
Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler is based on the Unicorn Sport Concept shown at the 2010 Auto Expo in New Delhi. CB Unicorn Dazzler features well executed tank scoops, side body panels, dual tone styling, new clear lens tail lamp and heat shield. CB Unicorn Dazzler is not much bulky and not very thin. Tank shrouds are designed in such a way that it blends smoothly with the concept that this new version of Unicorn is exclusively meant for sports. The dual tone styling of CB Unicorn Dazzler will attract more people towards it. This dual tone styling will give the vehicle a sporty look.

New features on the the CB Unicorn Dazzler include a digital instrument console with analogue tachometer and digital odometer, 17 inch alloy wheels, 110/80 section tubeless tyre at the rear and 80/100 at the front purely for the looks, half naked chain cover and a rear disc brake for added stopping power. Other additions, off-course cosmetic include a new front biking fairing with the much touted screenless front cowl and a unique floating side cowl with the so-called 3D Honda logo.
Intsrument Cluster of Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler
CB Unicorn Dazzler is the first Honda bike to feature digital plus analogue instrument cluster like we have seen in Bajaj Pulsar, Apache RTR, Suzuki GS150R. The instrument cluster of CB Unicorn Dazzler features a big analogue tachmeter flanked by digital speedometer and odometer on the right side. The other tell and tales are neutral indicator, turn indicator etc. This was a much needed feature in CB Unicorn Dazzler as all of its rivals feature digital cluster.
Engine of Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler
The engine of CB Unicorn Dazzler remains unchanged but has been updated to meet the stricter emission norms, it is equipped with the same refined and responsive 150cc engine. This smooth revving engine has been infused with a high torque characteristic that makes the Unicorn one of the most fuel-efficient in its class. The high torque available at low rpm levels also reduces the necessity of frequent switching to a lower gear in city riding conditions. CB Unicorn Dazzler's 150cc engine develops maimxum power of 14 Bhp at 8500 rpm with peak torque of 13 Nm at an astonishingly low 6500 rpm. The clutch lever drive is smooth and there is no need to use much force.
The engine of CB Unicorn Dazzler is powerful enough & gear shifts are smooth and there is no stress or pain while shifting them. Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler features new viscous air filter which has been doing rounds on all the new launches by the company also finds its place on this new model which helps in cutting down on ownership costs as this filter needs less frequent maintenance and aids in better breathing of the engine.
Suspension of Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler
Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler has a Monoshock for observing the unevenness on roads. But CB Unicorn Dazzler does not have this mono shock. In addition to the mono shock it has two spring suspensions. This spring suspension will not only absorb the unevenness along the riding path but also give better stability and riding comfort.

CB Unicorn Dazzler will score high on style and features to attract the younger crowd, who gravitate more towards the stylish and sportier Bajaj Pulsar and TVS Apache.
